Ultimate Event Planning Guide:
Planning an event can be extremely stressful, no matter who you are. If I have learned anything from planning my own wedding and other events, it is that checklists are your new best friend.
It is important that you first right down what your overall goal is. What do you envision? Where do you picture this? How many people do you expect? Based on this, you should be able to compile different pieces and parts of this event into sections. This can be broken down into food, floral, attire, invitations, advertising, etc.
The next thing to do is create a timeline. How soon should your vendors be booked out from the date? When should you send invitations. From here, take your pieces and organize them into the months that it should be done.
It maybe seem like a small feat, but the most rewarding part of planning is being able to check off the tasks as you complete them. Maybe you could create a large calendar that hangs on your wall that shows all of your tasks, check them off as you go. The feeling of completing each of these will take more and more pressure off of your shoulders as time goes. Chances are you will find yourself near the date of your event with very little to do because you completed so much of it in the months prior.
